Our 3-year old daughter Gabriella has been attending Robin's Nest Pre-School in Montara for over a year now. It has been a wonderful learning experience both socially and academically for her. Without question or hesitation, my wife and I highly recommend Teacher Robin and Robin's Nest pre-school.

My wife, an attorney, and I, an elementary school teacher, have high expectations for our daughter's education, and spent quite a bit of time searching out a quality pre-school for our daughter. With each school we checked out, we seemed to be continually disappointed. In fact, after a week at another pre-school on the Coastside, we pulled our daughter out and started looking again. We wanted something enriching, educational, and positive socially, not just a daycare/babysitting situation. That's when we came across Robin's Nest.

We knew immediately that Robin's Nest was a cut above what we had experienced before. At Robin's Nest, the day is filled with enriching academic activities, positive social education, and physical fitness, all in a warm positive environment. Our daughter has flourished in Robin's care. She comes home singing songs she's learned, practicing yoga stretches, saying numbers and letters she has learned, and talking about all the fun she has had. Everyday she brings home wonderfully creative art projects. Also, the field trips we've been have been outstanding. What really amazes us is the independence Gabriella has learned in pre-school. We feel that she will be more than prepared when she starts school. For example, when we arrive at school in the morning, Gabriella puts her things in her cubby, takes her shoes off and puts them in the shoe bin, sits down at the writing table, picks out a marker, and begins ehr journal with little, if any, prompting. Most importantly, we feel Gabriella's self-esteem has continued to grow immensely at Robin's Nest.

Robin creates a safe and positive environment where children learn respect for each other, sharing, and taking turns. When I come to pick Gabriella up, all the children are polite and use kind words to each other and the other parents. It appears to me that Robin has made it a point to teach kindness and respect, and has a high standard for all the children to follow. We feel Robin has created an atmosphere that perfectly blends structure with the freedom pre-school aged children need to explore.

Besides doing an excellent job keeping parents informed and educated about their child's progress and learning, Robin is also very organized about billing and taxes, which as a busy parent is very helpful. In addition, she gives daily hand outs with parenting and teaching tips. We feel Robin goes that "extra mile" for the families she works with.

Both my wife and I highly recommend Robin and her Robin's Nest as a truly wonderful place for children to learn, grow, and have fun during their pre-school years.
