Attendance:
If your child will be absent, please notify Robin's Nest by 8:30am. Preschool starts promptly at 9:00am.

Health:
The State Department of Social Services requires a physical examination when enrolling. A physician's report must be in our files within two weeks. All enrollment forms/contracts and evidence of up-to-date immunizations must be filled out completely and submitted prior to the first day of attendance.

Safety:
Parents/Guardians are responsible for signing their child in and out each day. No child will be allowed to leave the premises with anyone other than a parent or person listed in the office file. If you have a schedule change, please phone/advise Robin’s Nest prior to pick up. The person picking up your child will be required to show picture ID.

Discipline:
Robin’s Nest works hard to promote a “Hugs not Hits” environment. The staff respect the rights and dignity of all children. Children are expected to respect each other, just as the staff respects them. When a problem arises between children, they are encouraged to attempt to work out their problems through discussion. Robin’s Nest strives to encourage cooperative problem solving with verbalization of feelings including conflict and resolution techniques.

Personal Belongings:
All Robin’s Nest Birdies bring a lunch pail with a healthy snack and lunch every day. Tennis shoes and play clothes are recommended. Children keep a change of clothes in their assigned drawer in case of accident. Cowboy boots, flip-flops and dress shoes are not allowed. Parents are responsible for supplying diapers or pull-ups for their child.
